We spend a great deal of our time making sure that we are able to present to our audiences unique performances, different from other Latin dance companies. Part of this time is spent in editing or cutting our music, adding sound effects and voiceovers. It has been our experience that audiences are more attracted to these performance type of shows and therefore enjoy a much richer dance presentation.

Master Puppet Dance Company started back in 1997 with three brothers (Carlos, Pepe & Emilio) known as The Alvarez Brothers . The Alvarez Brothers focused on creating dance performances which were usually performed with musical instruments. In 2003, the brothers decided to take a different route. Two of the brothers - Carlos and Emilio - decided to start a musical band to perform. Pepe Alvarez, not being so sure that he was ready to leave the dance world, took a few months to contemplate the idea of joining his brothers. In March of 2005, Pepe decided to create his own dance company where people of all ages would have the chance to join. He held auditions in August of 2005. He formed 4 dance teams consisting of almost 8 couples (8 guys & 8 gals) ages 7 to 35 (each dancer in his/her corresponding age group). By December of this same year, these teams had performed in San Diego , CA in places such as Night Clubs, Schools, Corporate Events, Colleges and Universities, and charity events. Starting January 2006, Pepe Alvarez re-evaluated the idea of continuing to train and chronograph all these teams and decided to focus only on his Professional team. He held auditions for this team and decided to stay with only 2 gals and 2 guys (Cristina Santana, Karemi Alvarez and Domingo Vigil. Currently, Master Puppet continues to perform in San Diego . Master Puppet now travels to Los Angeles , San Francisco , Mexico and across the United States to perform at events such as World Salsa Congresses.
